and groups
with blessings for you!

  • Send cards
  • Shop for them
  • Provide transport to doctor or church
  • Remember birthdays
  • Pray for them

  • Provide refreshments for students on a Wednesday night
  • Consider teaching in this ministry
    (Training provided each year)

  Bereavement Ministry
One of the most appreciated ministries in our church, especially in times of sorrow.

"Blessed are those that mourn, for they shall be comforted." Matthew 5:4

How To Help:
Volunteers are needed to help the Bereavement Committee in carrying out this crucial help to the bereaved in the event of the death of a church memeber or a death in his or her family. This may mean cooking food for a meal, calling to ask members to contribute a dis of food, or helping to serve a meal following a funeral service.

   *Campbell's Labels for Education TM

A collection box is located in Room 207

The Corner Rose Tea Room is a unique and fun way to give a donation to the Russell Home. The quaint, Victorian tea room will accommodate up to 12 ladies for a delicious lunch, unique teas, and delicious pastries. You can also arrange a tour of the home.

 Fresh Start

A great project for a Sunday School class, department or group, helping provide a meal for men trying to get their lives back together!

A great project for a Sunday School class, department or group, helping provide a meal for men trying to get their lives back together!

This vital ministry of Christian Service Center needs volunteers to prepare and serve a dinner meal, and bring items for breakfast and lunch for approximately 15 men once a month.

Our church supplies meals for the 14th of each month. There is subsidy available from the church budget to help out with the costs.

This is a great project for both men and women to do together. We serve the dinner, and then eat with the men and encourage them. A team of about 5 or 6 is sufficient. For details . . .

Parents’ Night Out

For parents of very sick
children in Arnold Palmer Hospital

15 to 18 times a year, College Park Baptist Church volunteers spend 3 hours (6 - 9 p.m.) at Arnold Palmer Hospital playing games and eating pizza with very ill children, while their parents are treated to a free dinner at a popular restaurant, supplied by ‘Give Kids the World.’

If you would like to be a blessing to a very needy child and parents, call about being a volunteer in this special ministry. You will be blessed.

Holiday Project Ideas

You'll find some great ideas for planning meaningful holiday projects for your family, and for groups

  • Servers for the Friday after Thanksgiving

A difficult day for CSC to get volunteers for Daily Bread is the day following Thanksgiving. They need about 12 - 14 volunteers to serve the noontime meal at their Downtown Kitchen.

  • Feed a Family

Each year CSC asks their supporting churches to help provide a meal for Thanksgiving or Christmas. A Bible study class or youth group could provide food "baskets" for families to be distributed right here in Central Florida.

  • Create "Homeless Packs"

Create packs for homeless persons by filling one-gallon zip-lock bags with individual items or water, small items of food, soup, small New Testament, cards of encouragement, etc. Special hygiene packs are needed which have soap, wash cloths, toothbrushes & toothpaste, razors, & deodorant. Special Christmas packs are also needed. A great Sunday School idea! These can be brought to the library.

Daily Bread

A ministry of...Christian Service Center
800 W. Central Blvd.
Orlando, FL 32805

Daily bread has been providing these meals since 1975!

This vital program provides a nourishing meal for more than 500 men, women & children in two locations (Downtown Orlando & West Orange-Ocoee). Churches supply most of the volunteers to serve these meals. CPBC is responsible for serving the noon meal at Daily Bread 2 weeks in the year. Monday - Friday. Eight to twelve volunteers are needed each day to serve the meal to approximately 300 hungry people, many homeless. The youth of CPBC takes one week in the summer.

Volunteers are also needed for Sundays to help provide these same vital services when churches are in worship!

Thrift Shop
CPBC has a collection box for clean, reusable items for the Thrift Shop, located just outside the Fellowship Hall by the double doors on Stetson St. From time to time we receive special requests for items for CSC.

Food Pantry
The CSC maintains a food pantry to distribute food to families in need. CPBC has food drives several times a year to help restock this pantry, but you may wish to contribute directly anytime. Food is always needed, especially during holidays.

Homeless Packs
Create packs for homeless persons by filling one-gallon zip-lock bags with individual items or water, small items of food, soup, small New Testament, cards of encouragement, etc. Special hygiene packs are needed which have soap, wash cloths, toothbrushes & toothpaste, razors, & deodorant. Special Christmas packs are also needed. A great Sunday School idea! These can be brought to the library.

  • Teach, lead, sing, share
