OUR VISION

At CPBC School of Music, we believe that music is a medium of self-expression, an exercise in self-discipline, and a source of personal satisfaction and enjoyment. The enjoyment of listening to music is great, but it can’t compare to the pleasure experienced when a person actively makes the music come alive by singing or playing an instrument. Sharing this talent with family and friends, and using it in the church, brings people together in a very special way.

Musical training requires students to pay attention for long periods, to read notation, to memorize extended passages, to express emotions, and to master fine motor skills. They learn valuable qualities, like the Three C’s - concentration, coordination, and confidence. These qualities can help students reach their full potential in music as well as in other areas of life.

Also, by attending lessons regularly, being on time, following directions, and completing their assignments, students acquire important personal qualities such as commitment, responsibility, and perseverance. These qualities are also valuable in music, in school, and in life.
