College Park Baptist Church has been involved in a health ministry of education and awareness, as well as health screenings since 1996. We have been associated with the Lay Health Education program begun by a professor of psychology at Stetson University along with physicians from the Johns Hopkins University. We strive to bring programs presented by medical professionals of the highest caliber.

The Lay Health Education program seeks to create awareness by educating congregations to the symptoms, early detection, and treatment of various diseases, both physical and emotional, as well as stressing the importance of compliance and life style changes.

We have offered programs on all the major health issues, nutrition, mental-emotional problems, as well as substance abuse.

Because of the purchase of AED's and the education offered for CPR and AED certification, our church received the "Heart Ready Award" given by the American Heart Association.
